Public Meeting

Thursday, June 25 7:00 pm (AT)

St. Stephen - Ganong Nature and Marine Park, 350 Todd’s Point Road

The Annual General Meeting of the Ganong Nature Park (SCEP) will be conducted on Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. at the Park’s main building. The meeting as well as the park are open to the public, according to Board Chairman Allan Gillmor. In a letter to friends of the Park, Gillmor said the Park will be open prior to the meeting and he invited friends and families to explore its attractions. “As you know,” he wrote, “the Park offers much to enjoy, from its abundant wild life and lush vegetation to stunning views of the St. Croix Estuary. Ganong Nature Park is the principal entity of the St. Croix Estuary Project. The letter explained that those wishing to cast votes to elect officers or to take part in other business of the SCEP may obtain individual memberships at $25 or family membership at $40. Membership fees may be mailed to the Park, dropped off at the park office, or paid at the AGM. Gillmor said memberships paid before the meeting is called to order are eligible to vote. Meanwhile, Gillmor explained, the park is open daily and the public is welcome to visit. Due to staffing limitations, at times the vehicle access gates may be closed, but the Board Chairman said visitors may park cars near the gates and walk into the grounds. A brochure describing trails and other attractions is available at the park’s main building. “Please plan to attend the AGM,” the letter to friends concluded. “We look forward to welcoming you again.”
